Trump's Impeachment

For months now, the entirety of Congress has been circling around the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump. Throughout Trump’s time in office, the American people have shown constant disapproval amidst all of his poorly made political decisions and the nonstop allegations that arise again and again. Each time we thought that the scandals had ceased, another was revealed. Finally, the disapproval of the American majority has consolidated into Speaker Pelosi taking action. Today, December 18th, is when Congress will vote on Trump’s impeachment.

Considering Trump’s terrible track record before taking office and his unacceptable policy proposals during his time in office, we are wholly in support of the impeachment of Donald Trump. Throughout his time in office, his incapability to hold such a powerful position has become painfully obvious. From his Muslim ban, to his sexual assault allegations, to his neglect of climate change, to his reckless actions in the Middle East; it is clear that it is time for Mr. President to leave the Oval Office.

All of the momentum from American citizens and office holders alike have consistently built up to today. Congress will debate two articles of impeachment, “abuse of power and obstruction of Congress,” and the simple majority vote will determine the fate of President Trump. Considering the Democratic majority in the House, the outcome of today’s vote is more predictable than not. And even throughout one of the most intense days of Trump’s time in office, Trump continues to tweet his feelings right through it, accusing Pelosi and Congress that “You are the ones obstructing justice. You are the ones bringing pain and suffering to our Republic for your own selfish personal, political and partisan gain.”

It is time for Trump to be impeached.
